St Ignatius

1st Team Basketball report for 2016

Despite the poor start to the season, The Saints displayed memorable basketball with special mention going to: The dazzling dunks by Chimoga, lifesaving baskets from Ganizani (Outgoing Captain), Mbofana(Ironman) earned his nickname as he crushed all hiss opponents out of his way, no matter how big. The team went on to win a new kit at the Bob tournament held at Goromonzi High.

The team did not stop to shine as they proceeded to the Nationals held at Lomagundi where they faced Kutama, Cornway and Mazowe. Unfortunately, ‘Saints’ lost to Mazowe with a one-point margin in the quarter-finals. The saints went on to finish 7th in Zimbabwe!
