St Ignatius College, a full boarding school was founded in 1962 by the religious order, the Jesuits. The purpose of the college is to educate a total human being (holistic education), that is; intellectual, spiritual, physical, emotional and social. We are very clear and firm in principles as per our vision. We strive continually towards magis in every field. Our goal is to educate leaders in service, men and women for others. We mould human beings who will make a positive difference to society. We thoroughly prepare our students for life.

Welcome to this our virtual community which will, hopefully, share with you the identity of the College and guide you through many activities that take place here. The College recently celebrated 50 years of excellence in providing top notch but affordable education to many in our country and beyond. It is my hope that as we count on our blessings we also plan and join hands in building the College for the next 50 years and beyond.

Permeated by Christian values, our programmes ensure that our shared vision, mission and energies are geared towards the formation of the whole person; academic, spiritual, social and physical. Through multi-faceted programmes and experiences, students are challenged and inspired to fully develop their God-given gifts and talents as they grow into young men and women God designed them to be. At St. Ignatius College we strongly believe in giving a special and particular care and concern to the needs of the individual student who is always at the centre of the whole educational enterprise. Students and teachers here strive for the Magis and know that hundred percent is not good enough!

Fr. Ignatius Padya When you want to know the structure of the school and what it does you go to the Administration block and meet with the school officials who are the head of the school, but if you want to know why it does it and what gives it its energy you go to the Chaplaincy which is its heart.

We are an Ignatian enterprise which means that everything we do is ad maiorem Dei gloriam (to the greater glory of God) and we are men and women committed to the service of God through his other children wherever they may be who are our brothers and sisters. The chaplaincy tries to pump this message to all parts of the body of the school and thus bring them to life with an Ignatian spirit. The chaplaincy is the affective life of the school.
